Dentist - York, PA

Dr. Douglas Schmitt is a friendly and dedicated dentist who has been practicing dentistry in the York area for over 30 years. He feels that dentistry is not just fixing one tooth at a time but providing comprehensive dental care to assist patients with putting their best smile forward. Dr. Doug earned his BS degree from Penn State University and his DDS degree from West Virginia University. Following dental school, Dr. Schmitt completed a General Practice Residency at York Hospital. He opened his first practice in York and then joined practices with his father, Dr. Joseph Schmitt. Dr. Schmitt has continued to provide quality dental care to the York community while continuing his education to provide comprehensive services to his patients including Invisalign^®, implants, same day crowns, tooth whitening and other services.

Doug enjoys spending time with his family including his wonderful wife, Laura, and his great children, John and Emma.

In his free time, he also enjoys whitewater kayaking, soccer, skiing, and most outdoor activities. Balancing his work with his many activities he is looking forward to continuing to providing services to the many families he has grown to love.
